Hello and welcome to Class Apia & Wellington!

The teachers in Year 1 are Miss Harrison, Mrs Baggley and Mrs Rowe.

Miss Harrison will be teaching Class Apia and Mrs Paice will cover on Thursday mornings. Mrs Baggley will be teaching Class Wellington on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Rowe on Thursday and Friday. Our teaching assistant is Mrs Gibson.

Here is some key information about Year 1: 

• Our P.E. days are Tuesday and Friday. Please ensure that P.E. kits remain in school and are only taken home for the half-term holidays. Anyone with ears pierced will either need to take their earrings out for the lesson or cover these with plasters/micropore tape, which are provided for by their family. 
• Diaries are checked every Thursday and this is the day your child should receive a new book. They will not be able to receive a new book, if they have not returned their old one.
• To support your child with their reading, please read their school book with them at least 4 times per week and write a comment in their Reading Diary. You can also access Collins books with your password on the app to read an electronic copy of the book they are reading in school.
• Please send your child with a water bottle each day, which is filled with water only and ideally labelled. When we move into the summer months please also ensure that your child has a sun hat and sun cream applied.
