Help at Home

There are lots of things you can do to help your child at home in Reception. Starting with building independence and resilience by encouraging children to have a go at simple tasks by themselves, including, dressing themselves, brushing their own teeth, zipping up their coat and taking responsibility for their own belongings.

We love sharing stories in Reception and this is one of the most beneficial things you can do with your child to encourage early reading skills and to develop a love of stories.
